Philanthropy Leaders Summit, Las Vegas and Reno

The Moonridge Foundation’s annual Philanthropy Leaders Summits are funders forums that take place in Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada attracting over 500 corporate funders, family foundations, and individual philanthropists to learn about best practices and trends in giving. The attendees represent a healthy mix of philanthropists, corporate leaders, and community advocates who all are interested in moving the needle on philanthropic giving and collaboration to better our communities. The audience leaves feeling inspired to make a greater philanthropic impact via their companies, personal giving (time and money), grantmaking entities and/or nonprofits.

Greater Good Council Collective Impact Project

The Greater Good Council (GGC) embodies the power of collective impact through an annual grant, pooling member funds via The Moonridge Foundation. Along with an extensive screening process, these funds are used to develop growing organizations and achieve the highest impact possible. To date, the council has granted over $1.2M to local grantees.

Jameson Fellowship

The Jameson Fellows are a group whose purpose is to create a culture of greater cohesion among non-profit, governmental and academic leaders and represents all five social sectors – health/human services, education, arts and culture, natural/built environment, and jobs/economy. Launched and sponsored by philanthropist Gard Jameson, the Moonridge Foundation serves as the facilitator of this leadership program. The Moonridge Foundation organizes this collaborative effort to build trust among Fellows so they learn to recognize their value to their community, their strengths as leaders, and how best to support one another.

Milagro Foundation/Santuario de Luz, Autlan, Mexico

Inspired by Carlos Santana's generosity with the Las Vegas community, The Moonridge Foundation wanted to have their own “pay it forward” project that would benefit a community health clinic, located in Carlos Santana's hometown. The Moonridge Foundation team organizes an annual trip to Santuario de Luz in Autlan, Mexico to provide funding and basic medical and dental services to the citizens of Autlán and neighboring communities. Volunteers also help out with painting, planting, repair work, cleaning, and conducting hands-on support to those in need. The Moonridge team is honored to organize this annual event and to demonstrate the power of collective impact in action that extends far beyond our borders.
